Privacy notice

How the Hub uses personal information, who can access it, and how to make a privacy request.

Updated 8 October 2026 · Bethel Christian Center

01Who operates the Hub

BCC Business Hub is a not-for-profit platform owned by Bethel Christian Center, a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

For privacy questions or requests, use the contact address shown below. This notice applies to the Hub, not to independent businesses or external websites.

02Information we collect

We process account and contact details, profile information, business listings, photos, posts, reviews, messages, enquiries, event responses, applications and documents you choose to provide. Application forms may request additional information; check the form before submitting.

Service providers may process technical information such as device, connection and error information to run and protect the service. Do not upload passwords, bank PINs, OTPs or unnecessary sensitive documents.

03Purpose and legal basis

Information is used to provide accounts and requested services, facilitate connections, process applications, moderate content, send service updates and maintain security. Depending on the activity, processing may rely on providing the service you request, consent, legitimate interests balanced against your rights, or legal obligations.

Optional public profile details and notification choices can be changed in your account. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing already lawfully carried out.

04Visibility and recipients

Public profiles, approved business content and public posts can be viewed and copied by visitors. Private files are access-controlled, but authorised images may be displayed publicly through signed links. A private storage location does not make a published photo confidential.

Messages are available to conversation participants. Authorised staff may access information where necessary for moderation, support or investigations. Application reviewers can access assigned submissions and documents. Hosting, storage and email providers process information needed to provide their services.

05Security, retention and international processing

We use access controls and other safeguards; no online service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information outside Nigeria, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

Information is retained for the relevant service purpose and legitimate administrative, security or legal needs. Deleting public content may not remove copies held by recipients, search engines or backups. Contact us for the retention arrangements relevant to your data.

06Your rights and requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may also ask about safeguards for international processing. We may need proportionate identity verification before acting on a request.

You can edit profile information and notification preferences in your account. Contact the Hub for account deletion or other requests. You may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.

07Children and sensitive information

Parents and guardians should supervise use by minors. Contact the Hub before submitting information about a child or sensitive personal information that a form does not expressly request. Do not publish another person’s private information without a lawful basis.

08Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated as the service changes. The date below identifies the current version; significant changes should be communicated through the Hub.
